Artist: Inhuman
Label: I Scream Records
Release Date:

The Brooklyn Bastards, a fixture in NYHC, have always blended hardcore, metal and punk with their love of all things horror and to their credit have merged them seamlessly. Last Rites takes you on a punk, metal and slightly thrash journey into madness and mayhem. From the anthemic and guitar heavy relationship elegy “What You Wanted” to days reminiscent of NYC’s grindouse era on the aptly titled “Grindhouse” which if not mistaken intros with the same intro of the horror classic Last House On the Left. The album boasts diversity that will most certainly keep you listening. Fast and heavy on tracks like “Mania” and “Fashist”, Fear-like on “Bitter and Jaded” and Danzig-ish on “The Lost” there’s track for everyone. In a time where majority of hardcore/metal albums could be mistaken as a 20min song instead of an actual album, the fellas from Inhuman did real good.
